 The dreamer who changed animation John Lasseter is a famous person in the world of animation. He was born in California in 1957. From a young age, he was interested in cartoons and drawing. He always wanted to tell stories through animation. His dream was to work for Disney, and he followed that dream. He studied animation at CalArts, an art school in California. At this school, he learned how to create characters and movements. He also met many other young artists. Later, he started working at Disney. But he wanted to do something new. He wanted to use computers to make animated films. At the time, people did not trust this new idea. They thought it was too strange. But John believed it was the future. In 1995, he directed Toy Story, the first full movie made with computer animation. It was a huge success. People laughed, cried, and felt connected with the characters.
